Client: The Academy Awards (AMPAS, or “The Oscars”)

Role: Sr. Copywriter / Creative Consultant

Assignments: Write a wide range of copy for various marketing initiatives, including overall branding, social media, video (TV and digital), and write the weekly newsletter (see samples below). In 2019-20, helped ideate and launch A.frame, the Academy Award’s ‘Guide to Movies.’ A.frame provides stories written by Hollywood filmmakers as well as other movie and industry news. I oversee all SEO activity, as well as overseeing content creation, editing, and overall site UI/UX.

Smirnoff + VH1

Client: Master of the Mix is a reality television series and disc jockey competition that Smirnoff sponsored as their own.
Role: Principal
Smirnoff + VH1 tapped my blog (named RagerOnions.com at the time) to take on a grassroots marketing campaign for their competition-based EDM show. We decided to pump out weekly content about the show that differentiates itself from other blogs that were also promoting the campaign.

Role: Principal
Create, implement, and execute a local marketing campaign to drive young business professionals to LEXUS #WinterHeat party. I used all channels at our disposal to inform/encourage readers of THESIXTHIRTY.com to come, bring friends, and have fun. As the sole local promoter for the event, our goal was to get roughly 500 people. Over 1,200 people attended.
